Oberon Rumble Recap

Wrestle Strong Dojo rolled into Oberon RSL on May 31st, and what a night it was! With championships on the line, surprises around every corner, and a Rumble to kick things off—Oberon truly got the full Wrestle Strong experience.

Opening Match: The Oberon Rumble We wasted no time getting straight to the action with the Oberon Rumble! The stakes were high—a WSD Heavyweight Championship Match later that night awaited the winner. Entrants included:

  • Aragon

  • Chris Stevens

  • Local favorite CJ Young

  • Domino

  • Gujarro Piranha

  • Jack Normandy

  • Johnny Hardwood

  • Ludo Jareth

  • Mammoth Torrent

  • Omen

  • Zachariah the Messiah

  • Ranger

  • RJ Lightning

  • Sahara

  • Scott Justice

  • And returning for one night only: The Veteran – Wildchild

It was chaos, it was electric, and it all came down to two competitors: Sahara and Zachariah the Messiah. In an unbelievable moment, both competitors’ feet hit the floor at the same time. Senior Referee Brian Renalds made the official call—both had won.

Now, I could have restarted the match. I could have forced them to go one-on-one. But instead, I made the call that set the crowd on fire:Tonight’s Main Event would be a Triple Threat Match for the WSD Heavyweight Championship!

Match 2: WSD Women’s Championship – Triple Threat

The reigning champ Freya Fury had momentum behind her, but she faced two dangerous challengers: her long-time rival Mystic Jessie, and the powerhouse from Queensland, Kyza (Natalya King).

These women tore the house down, but in the end, history was made. Mystic Jessie reclaimed the title, becoming a record-setting 3-Time WSD Women’s Champion!

Match 3: WSD Fighters Championship – No Disqualification Triple Threat

The Fighters Title was on the line in a brutal No DQ match as Alistair Fleming defended against Chris Stevens and Johnny Hardwood.

Alistair showed why he’s one of the toughest in the game, surviving the chaos to retain his championship in impressive fashion.

But the night wasn’t over for the Fighters Division…

Match 4: CJ Young vs Domino – Impromptu Match

Following the Rumble, a fired-up CJ Young stormed the ring. Upset after Domino’s underhanded elimination earlier, CJ grabbed the mic and called him out in front of a roaring home crowd.

I heard the fans. They wanted it. So I made it happen. CJ Young vs Domino—Right Here, Right Now. CJ brought the fight and the fury, scoring a definitive win in under five minutes. Oberon exploded.

Main Event: WSD Heavyweight Championship – Triple Threat

Dean Draven, the reigning champ and backbone of WSD, stood tall against two incredible challengers:

  • The high-flying Sahara, current Jr Heavyweight Champion

  • The unpredictable and dangerous Zachariah the Messiah, recent Holy Gaels Cup winner

This one was non-stop action from bell to bell. But in the end, Dean Draven did what he does best—he found a way to win, running over the top of

Zachariah and retaining the WSD Heavyweight Championship in a battle worthy of the spotlight.

To the fans who packed the RSL and brought the energy all night—you made this show unforgettable. Wrestle Strong Dojo will be back, and you can bet we’ve got more surprises in store.

Until then—stay strong, and stay wrestling.
